Is it Time for a Retro:fit?
We live in challenging times for some churches and denominations. The fabric of our urban neighborhoods is rapidly changing. Rural communities are becoming suburbs. Suburbs are bursting at their boundaries. Inner Cities are becoming younger, more diverse, and are reflecting the dichotomy of more wealth and more poverty living in close proximity.
A Thoughtful Response to Change
Current societal, cultural, and local shifts present opportunities for an evolving church to keep relevant to the waves of change pounding our home turf.
We also know that there is no more critical time than now for the Church to be present in our communities and cities.
How are these changes affecting you as a church leader and property steward?
Programming, staffing and Sunday experiences can be changed quickly to meet the needs of our neighborhoods, but our land buildings are not quite as flexible. Often, in an urban environment, a shift in population or demographics can quickly change a vibrant church and its community into one seeking to find its place and mission.
These changes, in both neighborhoods and churches, are why we have created Retro:fit.
We are a team of highly committed consultants, with roots in real estate, theology and church leadership, driven by a vision of The Ministry of Place.
